The challenge – device control and cost optimisation
Kawczyński Logistics is a logistics operator specializing in international transportation management. It focuses on the complex organization of the supply chain, with particular emphasis on controlled-temperature and high-value goods shipments.
The company employs over 400 drivers operating throughout Europe. The key challenge was to implement a solution that would enable adequate supervision of how employees use the company’s mobile devices. In addition, the company was looking for a tool enabling remote technical support. An important aspect was also optimizing the cost of telecommunications services, especially in terms of roaming charges. The company’s fleet of mobile devices includes Samsung Galaxy xCover models, different variants of the S series, and iPhones.
The solution – Proget system
Proget allowed the company to manage work devices running on Android and iOS remotely. Implementing policies that limited the use of unnecessary applications increased the security and efficiency of drivers. The remote desktop function made it possible to provide quick support for users – in case of problems with the operation of hardware and necessary software.
Thanks to Proget, the client’s IT specialists applied telecommunications rules (including using mobile data) on the equipment. This helped reduce roaming and subscription costs.
